Educational Objectives and Assessment: an outline for creating effective assignments
I created this Prezi for a short presentation on how to design a syllabus. I made the point that a good syllabus emerges from 1) having a good idea about desired learning outcomes
2) crafting assignments to match learning outcomes
Of course, this is nothing new in education theory, but it's always good to keep in the back of our minds at the beginning of a new semester.
